HAPPY SPRING BREAK!
3rd Quarter is now in the books and 4th Quarter will FLY by. This week we discussed the Scholarship Portfolio in Advisory and shared an exemplary completed portfolio by our own Senior Advisee, Leah Levenson. The Scholarship Portfolio is a binder that we revisit each spring and should be finalized by the 1st Semester of a student's Senior year. Please see more information and portfolio requirements on our Advisory webpage. I strongly encourage younger students to seek early assistance from older, mentor students as they begin this process. I am more than happy to facilitate those connections.
When we return from break, we will also start looking at Advisory Academic Portfolios - highlighting student work and progress throughout the school year. Students have been working on organizing their Weebly accounts to make them work for multiple school years. We have many experts in our Advisory that are happy to provide novice students with assistance. Again, the sooner students seek early guidance, the better and less stress as Student-Led Conferences approach. This should be a time of celebration! We will be setting aside Mondays and Wednesdays in Advisory to work on both portfolios.
As the year winds down, it seems to only get busier! The Polaris website recently had a refresh and continues to provide relevant and timely information. Please bookmark this page and check often. Additionally, you should be receiving the Wolf Weekly on Thursdays packed with current information and upcoming dates and opportunities. If you are not on that distribution list, please contact Angela Borjon in the front office at firstname.lastname@example.org
Whether your plans have you traveling or staying closer to home, I wish you all a wonderful break!
