1st Quarter is already a wrap and grades should be posted later this week. Polaris has our student-led conferences December 9th and 16th and we are busy working on our conference portfolios in Digication. Our conference calendar is different than others schools within ASD; however, certainly don’t let questions or concerns wait until December. Please let me know if there is a way that I can provide additional support for either your child or your family.
A sure sign of the changing seasons is the arrival of the Winter 2017 Intensive Catalogs! The catalog is posted on the website: www.polarsk-12.org - Just follow the quick link on the homepage. Online registration will be open all of next week. Please let me know if you have any questions about Winter Intensives.
Our Annual Parent Forum Fall Carnival is coming up this Friday, October 28th. Our Advisory is hosting a “Trick-or-Treat Karaoke Lounge”. We will need students to sign-up in teams to host this event and we would love some adult facilitators. Can you think of a better way to embarrass your child than belting out your best Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber??? I will have a sign-up ready on Monday. We are also in need of Trick or Treat candy for the little guys and ghouls that come to our door. Please start bringing in contributions on Monday. We will also happily accept any extra Halloween decorations to spruce up our “lounge”.
Finally, we are taking our first ever school-wide field trip on Friday, December 2nd. We will be going to see the 360 Allstars. This will be a fun K-12 event and a great way to build connections across the grades. We will be riding in ASD buses to the PAC. A field trip permission form is attached and is also being sent home with students Monday. Please return the form and $8 (ticket price). Permission forms and payment are due by November 1st.
Thank you for all you do to support our school, our advisory and your child! Have a wonderful weekend!
